Making your own hair and scalp oil is super easy and is also much less expensive than buying a premade hair oil from the store. You can control the ingredients and customize your oil to your specific needs and preferences.
Hair Oil Benefits:
Stimulates scalp circulation. This hair oil recipe is infused with potent herbs and essential oils that stimulate blood flow to the scalp and hair follicles.
Modulates hair growth phase.
Reduces scalp buildup. Massaging your scalp with a hair oil before washing helps loosen buildup that can clog hair follicles and slow growth.
Antimicrobial activity.
What you will need:
Carrier Oils ( you can use one oil type or you can mix and match)
(I fill part of my bottle with sweet almond oil and then I add jojoba oil the the bottle, filling it to the neck of the bottle. Then, I add my vitamin e and essential oils)
Options: Sweet Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Black Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Avocado, Jojoba, Apricot Kernel, and Argan Oil. This is not an exhaustive list. If you have fine hair, I recommend sticking with lighter oils like the almond or jojoba oils. If you have coarser thicker hair, you may want to try the castor oil or olive oil. Whatever you have on hand will certainly do the job.
10 drops of Vitamin E (nourishes and preserves)
Essential Oils (My personal favorites are rosemary, cedarwood, and peppermint) Other good oils for the hair are clary sage, chamomile, lavender, thyme, and tea tree oil.
It is just that easy. Mix everything into a glass dropper bottle and shake before each use. Keep your oil out of extreme heat or direct sunlight.
*I recommender amber or blue glass dropper bottles.

What a beautiful, simple, and well explained hair care routine! I had always disliked "washing hair day" because I felt it was too time consuming, but now I look forward to it. It is very nourishing and satisfying to take care of myself in this way now. Thank you for sharing so generously, Lea.
